Why Jason is serving as a School Director

School districts play a vital role in society and the community. They contribute to the growth of a community by maintaining property values, providing employment opportunities for teachers and administrators, and assisting parents in nurturing their children into productive members of society. Furthermore, excellent schools draw businesses offering jobs, which is beneficial for both the community and society at large. Schools should strive to help each student reach their full potential and utilize their unique God-given talents.

Ephrata is fortunate to have an outstanding team of administrators, teachers, and staff. Jason is committed to ensuring that the Ephrata school system continues to flourish and progress. Our teachers are the backbone of our schools, and we must support them by providing professional development opportunities, competitive salaries, and a positive work environment.

It is crucial to ensure that our schools provide a solid education and a safe, nurturing environment for our children. Each student is uniquely created by our Creator and every student has unique educational needs.

At the same time, it is crucial to exercise financial responsibility while executing the school district's mission. We must guarantee that taxpayer money is spent wisely, with priority given to programs that benefit our students and improve academic outcomes. As Chief Justice John Marshall once said, "the power to tax is the power to destroy"; therefore, we must exercise caution when it comes to increasing the tax burden, utilizing taxpayer funds prudently, and ensuring the school's mission is accomplished.
